Morning Mist At Crocker Range.. Is it?

We have been discussing what souvenior to buy for our guest speakers for the ICT Seminar next week. After a long thought, we finally decided to give a picture of Keningau Town as a token of appreciation to them. We looked and asked photoshops/friends around if they have a copy of Keningau Town picture in their safe keeping, but all ended up disappointed. I volunteered myself to take pictures of Keningau from Perkasa Hotel Keningau.

I went to the 7th Floor of Perkasa Hotel early this morning to take a few snaps of Keningau Town. While looking over the town, i saw the Crocker Range filled with morning mist. It looked so beautiful. I took a snap of it and here it is..

Not so clear? I bet this one should be clear enough. It is actually smoke coming from a nearby factory

Who say smoke emited from factory is bad for the environment? It actually helps add beauty to a scenery sometime lol! Jangan marah ah orang alam sekitar hehehe...

Street Demonstration In Keningau

I was driving to the town for breakfast yesterday morning when i stumbled upon a group of street protestors demonstrators. The group of crowd consisted of big and small, young and mature chaps. They covered the whole road, thus slowing down the traffic flow. My colleague who was returning from outstation have to stop her car in the middle of the road to let the group pass by. I was lucky enough to have snapped a few shots of the group but the pics were not so clear.

After breakfast, i headed back to office. I met the same crowd again, still covering the road. Only this time, a representative from the authority was monitoring the crowd. He was on a motorcycle with a cane in hid hand, guiding the crowd to behave while demonstrating on the street. I just look at him and gave him a thumb-up sign for a job well done. I was still trailing the crowd when suddenly one them dropped her stool on the road, right in front of me... How disgusting was the scene.. I almost puked. I did not take pics of that ugly scene, takut termuntah kalau balik-balik tingu..

The Street Demonstators :D

The "authority" representative hehehe...

The cases of cows maneuvering on the street had been repeatedly brought up to the District Council for action. It could cause accident to happen or create a havoc on the street users or pedestrians if the cows suddenly go amok. The fine for every cow/cattle caught wandering on the street is rm30/head/night. If 10 cows are caught, the owner has to pay Rm300. That's a lot of fine to be paid and imagine if the owner only managed to bail his/her cows after 3 days... Then he/she has to pay RM900 fine in total... So, those who breed cows/cattles/buffalos/horses, don't let them play on the street freely or you might get yourself in trouble :D

Busy.. Busy.. Busy and Kotobian Tadau Tagazo Do Kaamatan

Sorry dear friends, i've been busy for the last two months. First it was the MSISO thing, now it is our Seminar ICT Sektor Awam Negeri Wilayah Keningau, which will be held on the 24th June 2009. This is our 3rd time organising this annual seminar.
As has been determined before, around 100 state government departments/agencies personnel from all over Interior Upper Region will be invited to attend this seminar. The most crucial part in organizing this seminar is inviting a Y.B to officiate and making sure all preparations for the officiating ceremony are in place. If not, abislah kana cuci telinga :D I have been in contact with one of Datuk Pairin's Secretary. Hopefully he will be able to officiate our seminar this year. The last two seminar was officiated by Y.B Datuk Sairin. Their name is almost the same but i am certain that they are not related :D

Well friends, due to this busyness (or is it spelled business?) i might not be able to update my blog so often. My apology in advance and Kounsikaan Tadau Tagazo do Kaamatan! This instrumental song is for you, the real unplugged version :)

Cabinet Sabah Minor Reshuffle

Surprise, surprise... In a minor cabinet reshuffle, Datuk Peter Pang was appointed today as the new DCM (Chinese quota) of Sabah replacing Datuk Raymond Tan. The minor reshuffle was annouced by Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Musa Aman. Pang is the LDP vice president and also the Youth and Sports Minister. Raymond Tan was recently pressured by other BN components (LDP is one of them and the loudest) to resign as he was partyless before since he left SAPP last year. He has since joined Gerakan but this move failed to save his DCM post. Tan was also changed portfolio where he took the Industrial Development Ministry from Datuk Ewon Ebin who moved to Rural Development Ministry. Former Rural Development Minister, Datuk Pairin was given Tan's old portfolio, Infrastructure Development Minister.

Only curiousity and not to underestimate anybody ah, but why Peter was choosen to hold the DCM post? Why not Edward Khoo or retain Raymond since he already joined a party? I also wonder why Tan joined Gerakan instead of MCA or other party? I have my own opinions but i'm keeping it to myself :D
