Hitam dan hodoh...

Rupanya-rupanya hiasanmu itu sarang labah-labah
yang diukir oleh spider-spider yang bedebah
Yang tidak diundang namun tidak malu-malu menumpang di sini

Uinah... bunyi apakah itu?
Membuatkan hatiku berasa takut dan gentar
Ku melangkah penuh hati-hati
Nah sudah... Ada ular berbisa diam di sini
Wah! Lipan pun ada, apa lagi tikus...

New Office New Environment

My transfer to Ministry of Local Government And Housing took effect on 14th September 2009. I was designated to take over as the Head of IT Support Group (KSIT) for the ministry. A new environment for me as i am now straight under the supervision of the Ministry Permanent Secretary. Last time i'm in Keningau, i was straight under supervision of our director and we were far apart :) Thus, it was not so preassuring working in Keningau.


I went there on the 11th Sept on my predecessor's request as he has to be in his new office on the 14th Sept. I signed the Nota Serah Tugas and went to see the Permanent Secretary. I have a few projects to take over. One of it i already have experience with. I'm not expecting big problem of performing it. Only the other projects that that i'm worried about coz i have almost no experience with them. I'll try my best to do it and i believe i can with the help from my team.


My first day in my new office was not busy. I was busy getting to know the staffs there. A lot of names and faces to be remembered... They welcomed me there with smiles... Hi new friends, hope we can work together to achieve greater success.


Good bye JPKN Keningau. It was so great working with you guys. Life have to go on. I'm sure we will cooperate again in the near future as a few Local Council in Pedalaman Atas is under my new KSIT supervision :)

Beautifull Sky Over Nabawan

I went to Nabawan again to make a feasibility study on the District Office request for computers. On the way home, i noticed the sky was somehow so awesome. It was like the heaven's door was opening and shining down its glory to the earth. I managed to caught it with my 2.0 Megapixels phone camera. I wish i had a good camera like my friend Disney and Timothy has.. The picture's quality will be so much better.

I was appointed as one the judges for Anugerah Desa Cemerlang Nabawan District level, on Information Technology aspect. We were called for a meeting on the 16/7/09 at Nabawan District Office. Before that, i was planning to go to Subdistrict of Pagalungan to check on their VPN connection which was reported problematic. Due to that sudden meeting, i cancelled my plan going to Pagalungan. The meeting started at 9 a.m, to brief us on which kampung will take part and when the judging will be held. It was black-out that time. At 10 a.m, the meeting was concluded.

Since it was still early, i thought that i might be able to go to Pagalungan after all. I called Seri, my friend at the subdistrict office to arrange a boat for me at Salong Jetty. He said ok. A few minutes later, Mr. Sukiang the Assistant District Officer there called me to wait for him. He was in Keningau and going to Nabawan for a meeting. "Satu kali jalan bah supaya tu boatman kami tidak ulang-alik". He will reach Nabawan in one hour time he said. I agreed to wait for him.

By noon, 12:15 to be exact, we left Nabawan to Salong. It was a one hour plus journey. The road from Sapulut to Salong was not so good. There are a few stretches of the road that worry me if i'm going back to Sapulut. The strecthes were quite muddy and slippery. I prayed that it won't rain that day and thank God, it didn't rain. At Salong Jetty, i heard someone called my name after i got down from our car. It was Mr. Jidy, my friend from JUPEM. We met one week ealier at Servay Keningau and he told me that his team was going to Pensiangan for a week long assignment. That day at Salong, he was on his way back to Keningau.


We reached Pagalungan 15 minutes past two. From the jetty to the district office, we have to accend a hill. For a person who doesn't excercise regularly like me, it was quite tiring. I think my feet was shaking and my heart was pumping fast when i reached the office. I met Seri and sensing my tireness, he asked me to take a rest first. I wanted to finish my job there as fast as possible so that i could go back to Keningau that day also. I started troubleshooting right away. By 4:15 p.m i finished troubleshooting the VPN problem and began showing Seri how to do the connection. We finished 4:30 p.m. Ah, still have time to go back to Keningau. But Seri asked my favour to help them set their wireless router. I did try to configure it but as my mind was barely there, i couldn't concerntrate configuring it. Yup, i failed :) While i was configuring the router, a lady came to use the phone. From the conversation she made, i quickly guessed that she a grocery operator there as she placed so many orders to the person she talked to. In Pagalungan, only the district office has a phone there and the phone is a satelit phone. I think the villagers there often use that phone to make a phone call. Not sure about the school nearby if they have any phone. At, 4:50 p.m i gave up and asked permission to leave. Seri escorted me to the door step and asked me if i want to go to the shoplot. As i have never been to their shoplot before, i agreed.

All this while i thought that the shoplots there was a proper shoplot. Actually the shoplots there are houses converted to shop. At that time, only a grocery store and a billiard salloon were still operating. The grocery store is run by the lady that made the phone call. Seri pointed a few houses and told me that those are also shops. I just nodded my head..

After a few minutes there, we went to the jetty for my boat ride. At 5:20 p.m i left Pagalungan to Salong. At 6:00 p.m i reached Salong. Fortunately, my vehicle didn't have difficulties with the road from Salong to Sapulut and at 6:35 p.m, i was safely at Sapulut. I finally reached Keningau at 8:45 p.m with my vehicle almost empty tanked!
